User Agreement for Sambla

2021.09.14

1. Introductory Information

Sambla is a brand owned by Sambla Group AB, corporate registration number 556974-8378. When you use a service provided under the Sambla brand (on the website www.sambla.se, by phone or otherwise), you become a customer of Sambla Group AB. When we refer to Sambla below, we mean Sambla Group AB.

Sambla Group AB is a mortgage credit institution licensed by the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (Finansinspektionen) to conduct mortgage credit intermediation (which includes consumer credit intermediation) and insurance intermediation (“the Services”). All permits granted to Sambla Group AB by Finansinspektionen are listed and can be verified in Finansinspektionen’s company register (www.fi.se). This means we can mediate loans, credit cards, and insurance to you. When you submit a loan application or credit card application through Sambla, you will have the opportunity to compare offers from the lenders and card issuers we collaborate with. You can read about which lenders, card issuers, and insurance providers we cooperate with on our website.

By using any of the Services, you agree, on behalf of yourself and any potential co-applicant, that this User Agreement applies between you and Sambla. It is therefore important that you read the User Agreement carefully and ensure that any co-applicant also reads and understands it.

When you request our insurance intermediation, you will be provided with additional insurance information and insurance terms.

2. Our Assignment

By using the Services, you authorize Sambla to request loan offers and/or credit card offers as well as insurance offers from the lenders, card issuers, and insurance providers that Sambla collaborates with. If you have requested loan mediation or credit card comparison, Sambla enables you to compare offers and terms. Please note that Sambla does not offer loan advisory services in connection with the mediation of mortgage credits.

You are never obligated to accept any of the loan, credit card, or insurance offers you receive — it is always up to you whether you want to enter into a loan, credit card, or insurance agreement with a lender, card issuer, or insurance provider.

Please note that Sambla can never provide any guarantee, commitment, or undertaking on behalf of any of our partners. The decision to approve a loan or credit card always lies with the respective partner.

3. Our Compensation

It is free of charge for you to use the Services.

If you choose to enter into a loan agreement or credit card agreement with one of our partners, we will receive compensation from them for mediating the loan or credit card. The compensation we receive may vary depending on which lender or card issuer you choose. Regarding mortgage loan mediation specifically, information about the compensation amount we receive will be included in the fact sheet provided together with your loan offer.

For insurance mediation, you will be provided with additional information about our compensation when you are offered insurance.

4. Credit Checks and Information Retrieval

When you and any potential co-applicant apply for loan mediation or credit card comparison through Sambla, we perform a credit check on you and your co-applicant via UC AB (“UC”). Afterwards, our partners may, for a limited period and within the same case, access this credit check.

When one of our partners accesses the credit check, you will receive an “inquiry copy” (“omfrågandekopia”). It is important to clarify that such a copy is sent out by law and does not mean that multiple credit checks are recorded at UC.

The information in the credit check is used by lenders and card issuers to determine whether they can approve a loan or credit card. In some cases, a few of our partners may perform an additional credit check via other credit reporting companies than UC, such as Bisnode, to verify the accuracy of the information.

Any loan or credit card offers are considered preliminary. After you sign a loan proposal or credit card application, the lender or card issuer will conduct a thorough review of the case. This aims to perform an accurate credit assessment to evaluate your repayment ability and thereby the possibility of granting credit. If the established criteria are not met, the lender or card issuer reserves the right to withdraw the offer.

By providing your information and your co-applicant’s information to Sambla, you confirm that the information submitted is correct and that you have permission to provide any information about the co-applicant. You also consent to Sambla obtaining credit approval information (i.e., information regarding whether a lender or card issuer has approved offering you a loan or credit card) and information about the status of your loan or credit card application from the lenders or card issuers we collaborate with, in order to fulfill our User Agreement with you.

5. Personal Data Processing

In our Privacy Policy (available on our website), we explain how Sambla collects and processes your personal data in connection with the Services and otherwise, and what rights you have in relation to this. If you have questions about the Privacy Policy, you can contact us at kundtjanst@sambla.se.

6. Your Responsibility and Sambla’s Responsibility

Before requesting loan or credit card offers through the Services, you and any co-applicant are responsible for carefully reviewing your personal finances to determine whether you can handle the financial burden of taking a loan or using a credit card. For example, you can use the Swedish Consumer Agency’s tools available on www.konsumentverket.se to make a cost calculation for the loan or credit card.

Information provided by Sambla should only be seen as suggestions. It is up to you to evaluate and verify the information we provide about offers from our partners before entering into any agreement.

Sambla does not lend money, issue credit cards, or offer insurance — we only mediate loans, credit cards, and insurance from our partners. Agreements you enter with our partners are binding agreements between you and the lender, card issuer, or insurance provider. Sambla is not responsible for any damages or losses that arise when you enter into or decline to enter into an agreement with any of our partners.

7. Liability Insurance

Sambla holds liability insurance with If Skadeförsäkring AB (publ) (registration number 516401-8102), Barks väg 15, 106 80 Stockholm, phone: 0771-430000, email: skadeservice@if.se.

Claims against Sambla related to mortgage credit intermediation may be directed to the insurer if compensation has not been paid by Sambla. Such claims must be submitted to If Skadeförsäkring within one year of the claim arising. The maximum compensation payable for a single claim is SEK 10,000,000, and the maximum total compensation payable for all claims in a year is SEK 20,000,000.

For insurance intermediation, you will receive additional information about our liability insurance when you are offered insurance.
